October 2011 : Case Study

In early September 2011, Mecmesin approached Telecom Connections Limited to see if we would be willing to provide a case study relating to the products from the "Force & Torque Test Solutions" range under Electrical & Electronics category for Engineering.

Telecom Connections Limited have been using Mecmesin products for many years to ensure that our products meet the requirements of the UL486A Standard on pull-off forces and agreed to help Mecmesin with a case study for inclusion within the section for "Crimp Pull-Off Force Testing".

The case study provided added to the growing list of Mecmesin customers offering testimonials and solutions using their products to aid in the process of product criteria acceptance, with our case study added to the Test Solutions - Crimp Testing Cables page.

April 2011 : Reaching High

Telecom Connections Limited has been selected as a candidate for the Nottingham Post's BioCity EMB-sponsored Notts Small Business of the Year Award. A press release on the company was produced by the Nottingham Post.

March 2011 : New Machinery Expands Capability

Continuing with our theme of commitment for improvement, Telecom Connections Limited have taken delivery of a brand new Komax Gamma 255 Auto-Cut, Strip & Crimp machine. This fully automatic crimping tool is ideal for those high volume requirements and compliments our current manufacturing capabilities.

 

January 2011 : Capabilities Recognised

As part of our commitment program for improvement, Telecom Connections Limited have now achieved Underwriters Laboratories recognition to be members of the Wiring Harness Scheme.

December 2009 : A Reason To Be Cheerful

Christmas Shutdown : Telecom Connections Limited will close for the festive break at the end of the working day, on the 23rd December 2009 and re-open on the 4th January 2010. May we take this opportunity to wishes all our customers and suppliers the very best for 2010.

At last, we have finally completed the move to the our new premises. We offer our apologies for any inconvience caused during this time and appreciate your patience.

October 2009 : At The Heart Of It All

The Heart Angels from the radio station Heart 106, popped in to make cups of Tetley Extra Strong Tea for the workplace, after Séan Lathey had entered the company for the Heart Breakfast & Tetley Extra Strong competition. See the Heart Angels.

 

September 2009 : On The Move ?

Telecom Connections Limited have successfully purchased new premises and we expect to move by the end of 2009. Details will follow ASAP ....

 

June 2009 : True Vocations

Louise Hicking has returned to work in a part-time capacity, after being on Maternity Leave. Louise′s decision, means Daniel Bingham has taken on the role of Production Manager. It′s a hard job, but Dan is the man for the position. Note : Any order progressing should now be sent to Dan using the email address progressing@telecomconnections.ltd.uk

Reluctantly, Lee Holmes-King who has left to pursue a new adventure. We wish him all the best and success.

 

July 2008 : DecaBDE Annulment Update

RoHS Statement updated to include the DecaBDE Annulment to the RoHS Directive, which is effective of the 1st July 2008.

 

January 2008 : Website Re-Launched

Our new website is launched, so if you have any comments about the content, presentation etc., then please let us know, whether they are good or bad.

 

January 2008 : New Cable Technology

Following recent developments in this area, we are now manufacturing assemblies utilising our new anti-microbial jacket cable. The cable itself is bespoke and extruded to customer specification. We predict a huge increase in interest of this type of cable from the medical industry throughout 2008.

 

December 2007 : New Opportunities

The retirement of Barbara has given Telecom Connections the opportunity to promote from within. Louise Hicking has taken over the role of Production Manager. Louise has prior experience of this, as she regularly assumed this position each year while Barbara was away on holiday.

Daniel Bingham finally realises his ambition of moving into a field sales position. After 10+ years in production, Daniel takes the knowledge he has gained with him into his new role, thus benefiting both the customer and Telecom Connections.

We have added Séan Lathey to the staff. With over 20 years experience in the Electronics industry as a Research & Development Engineer, where he undertook the additional responsibilities of Quality Assurance & PCB Design. Séan will take the role of improving our Quality Control System. He will also be responsible for maintaining the company website.

 

December 2007 : End Of An Era

Barbara Bird, after serving the company since day one, has decided now is the time to retire. Barbara will leave with best wishes from all of the staff and will be missed.

 

August 2007 : New Tools

In our quest to improve services and quality to our customers, we can now boast the addition of Crimp Analysers to our portfolio.
